As a former Mancunian, I'm almost ashamed to admit that I have absolutely no interest in football. Whether it be Man U or Man C it really didn't matter to me.
Had you asked me who Wayne Rooney was I would have told you he was probably one of the most skilful and successful footballers in the world today and a household name, not only in the UK but across the globe. Ask me what number he wears and I wouldn't have a clue.
Before the advent of Hair Restoration Surgery back in the mid 1970′s. I promoted hair pieces for Paul Brendon Salon's in Manchester. One of my first clients a 65 year old gentleman called George provided me with what I can only describe as a 'profound experience'. An experience that impacted on my life and has continued to do ever since.
To those of us who worry about hair loss and thinning hair it makes interesting reading. So here's my recollection of the events that can only be described as a really 'moving experience':
Peter Harris, former medical correspondent with the Manchester Evening News, writes: "I've spent much of my career writing about medical breakthroughs. Now I've had a chance to experience one for myself. After talking to hair loss expert Malcolm and seeing his own results, I opted for HDHT in Athens.
I have actor James Nesbitt to thank for regenerating my interest in hair replacement surgery. His recent public admission that he had undergone a clearly successful hair transplant encouraged me to have another look at the latest available techniques.
It's just been reported that celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsey had had his hair transplanted for a cool 30k
This begs the question why he didn't contact "High Density Hair Transplants" in Athens and have a word with me? We would have performed the identical procedure F.U.E. (Follicular Unit Extraction) – No Scar Technique – for fraction of the price and the chances are that he wouldn't have had post-operative swelling to contend with either!
"I arrived at the clinic at 8.30 am as arranged. They were closed. I sat in my car in the parking lot until 10 am when they finally arrived and opened up. One of the staff made some mumbled excuse for their being late and I was ushered to a room where I waited another half-hour before I was led to the operating room. I wasn't even offered a cup of tea for my trouble.
Three Score Years and Ten has for centuries been considered as the average life expectancy before, to quote William Shakespeare, one was expected to "shuffle off this mortal coil"
Not so, if you are to believe current life expectancy estimates recently issued by the UK's Department of Work and Pensions. They say that something like 17% of 10.6 million people will live to celebrate their 100th birthdays. That's an incredible 1 in 5 of us are expected to live to the ripe old age of 5 score years!
Whatever happened to honesty in business, and getting what you paid for?
Time was that a person's word was as good as gold, and a handshake was an inviolable confirmation of many a business deal. But times have changed and so also the unscrupulous nature of some people. Now it seems that High Street lawyers have us fearful to buy cookies without complete nutritional information, a non-disclosure agreement and a signed contract.
Editor's Note: I first met Malcolm nearly 20 years ago when I was surgical advisor to a Leading British hair transplant group. One of my duties was to help train the numerous 'representatives' or 'consultants' employed by the company. These men were mostly from a sales background and had varying degrees of ability and motivation. Malcolm stood out from the start and I am not surprised that he has remained in the profession. We could do with many more like him.

The answer is purely one of choice..
HDHT can offer our clients a choice of locations to have their procedure.
Not all our clients are from the UK and some prefer to visit our clinic in Greece. There are also UK based clients who prefer to 'get away from it all' to have their hair transplant procedure.
