Introduction to F.U.T or "Strip"
This method of hair transplant is older than it's newer, more efficient counterpart Follicular Unit Extraction (F.U.E), however in some cases it is still used today. The main difference between the 2 types of surgery is the way the hair follicles are taken and separated. In a "strip" method transplant there will be a strip of skin removed from the patients donor area instead of selecting the grafts one by one as with F.U.E.
We no longer advise this method of hair transplant and we will only perform F.U.T surgery upon request.
